Maison Gilliard

Covering 30 hectares of vineyard situated in the heart of the prestigious Sion appellation, Maison Gilliard is an estate that embodies tradition, the pursuit of excellence and the faithful expression of Valais terroir. Since 1885, Maison Gilliard has been renowned for the legendary Dôle des Monts and Fendant Les Murettes bottlings. Over time, the winery's repertoire has expanded to include the Tonneliers and Grands Murs ranges, which accentuate the brilliance of privileged terroirs and the diversity of noble grape varietals. Estate-produced and bottled, the wines of Gilliard express the soul of Valais. Our vineyards are a mosaic of man-made terraced plots that tame what used to be an unforgiving hillside environment.

Clos de Cochetta is the most stunning example – a unique terroir perched among dry-stone walls of up to 20 metres in height. A dedicated sun terrace, accessible through a secret tunnel, provides walkers with the perfect picnic spot in the middle of this prestigious cru.
